Heathcare is getting more and more expensive. Its also a “growth” area of the economy. Of course, every job has a cost and we’re feeling it now. My employer just increased health insurance contributions my 15%—30% for employees who are deemed to lead “unhealthy” life styles. Like Government, Healthcare has the effect of sucking the life out of the rest of the economy.

I’m waiting for a letter from my employer, too. I’m sure he’s going to have to raise the employee contribution portion of our policy...which is a very good one...which I haven’t had to even use in four years. *Fingers Crossed*

But don’t tell 0bama that! He’ll lump me in with all those other evil ‘Cadillac Policy’ owners and then I’ll be screwed sooner rather than later. ;)

I also wonder how this is going to effect medical coverage for Veterans? From what my friends at the VA tell me, they are just about maxed out right now and straped for operating cash as it is.

When push comes to shove, I’m going to cancel my employer policy after I camp out on the steps of our local VA Hospital to see what they can do for me ‘for free.’ Wonder how many other Veterans will be doing the same?

This whole debacle is going to have dire consequences for EVERY little sector of our economy...which, of course, was by DESIGN!
