To call this merely political correctness is to believe that all of those Communist sympathizers who got into the Obama administration were "accidents" because they weren't properly vetted.
Our president is pro-Islamist. That does not mean that he supported Nadil Hasan's attack but he did not believe his extremist ideology to be the biggest threat this nation faces. Just look at how Obama has called an end to the "war on terror", bowed to Islamic nations (genuine theocracies in outright insult to our nation's foundation that includes recognition of a freedom of religion for ALL people), treated Israel, and whipped up hysteria over tea party "violence" when there has been none (unlike the illegal immigration rallies, anti-prop 8 rallies, "peace" protests of American wars, and even domestic Islamist terrorism that this administration refuses to call "terrorism").
Why don't YOU read the Constitution. Pay close attention to Article I Section 8....
To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;
To provide and maintain a Navy;
To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

So, Congress can fund the military, maintain the military, and provide rules for the military. The PRESIDENT is the COMMANDER IN CHIEF. Then grab a dictionary.

So, in todays lesson we have learned that YES, The POTUS is in fact in control of the military. He is the sole appointed head of the military. Congress can create rules and regulations. However, the President is in CONTROL of the military. As I stated.
If the President was NOT in Control, than Congress, or it's delegate, would have been named CIC.
Then there is that whole enlistment oath

Not seeing where the oath dictates Congress has control. It does however, say that the swearer will obey the orders of the President.
Further, legislatures legislate..... executors execute. One writes, the other carries out. The one that carries out has the control in the manner they are carried out.
Nadil Hasan committed an act of treason when he launched a domestic terrorist attack on the people at Fort Hood shouting Allah ‘FUBAR’ after consulting with Al Qaeda.
That persons within our government KNEW of these communications and his violent outburts against non-muslims (calling for their beheading) is a deriliction of duty.
Nadil Hasan belongs in the brig awaiting his trial and executiion.
Others in our government also need to swear under oath what their role was in shielding Nadil Hasan from oversight.
Joe McCarthy and Roy Cohn got demonized in the 1950s for daring to suggest that there was a fifth column in our US military and State Department. With the actions of Nadil Hasan and the numerous leaked documents from the State Department to the press, that fifth column is STILL present.

The Obama regime is threatening to sue the state of AZ. Clearly they don't understand the constitution and out of their arrogance they assume that most Americans have the same level of disdain for the constitution that they do. But if they do sue AZ they're opening up a whole new can of worms over states rights...and to be honest, it's a debate that is FAR overdue.

Who has the platform and the will to do it? The left counts on the fact that no one does...and they get away with just about anything they want. I don't see any hope that the US can be saved. Congress is run by the dems...it won't happen. The "police" are as corrupt as the "crooks" when it comes to congress.

Even when the GOP does stand up (and they have on several issues) the corrupt media that has sold out to the leftists beat them down with accusations such as "the party of no". Well, when the bills proposed are horrific, the only just and moral answer is "no". But too many Americans are complacent and asleep...and I don't see how they can be awakened in sufficient numbers. And even if they did wake up, it'd take time to bring them up to speed on what is going on. I know my mother doesn't even believe me when I quite Obama or one of his administration...they are so extreme that she can't believe anyone would actually say what they do.
the biggest problem we have right now I think is the media, if they did their job the rats would not be able to get away with even half of what they are doing.

The 2 core pillars, as I see it, are the media and education. Both of those are firmly in the hands of leftists...and the result is the destruction of America.
Conservatives should push for the privatization of education to remove it from the hands of leftists. The media is a more difficult nut to crack, although I have some ideas on that, but they all take money...which I don't have.
And the last step to the Marxist totalitarian state will be complete...but it will, at least, be in the open for all to see. Not that I desire to see the final destruction of America, although it seems I'll see it rather I desire it or not.
The last bunch of radicals who tried this when Ayers was a college student went down in a hail of lead. IMHO I don't think that Obama and his thugs are much different. They are merely clothed with a shallow veneer of legitimacy obtained by lies and deceit.America knows who they are now, and if we do not de-elect them, then most of them have pine boxes in their future IMHO, if they play the race card in Arizona.
