Watts Up With That? ^

WUWT reader Chris M Writes in Tips and Notes to WUWT
Have you noticed that the Australian PM, Kevin Rudd has dumped his CTS until at least 2012. This was his key platform at the last election, when he described global warming as the greatest moral imperative of our time.
How the times have changed.
Anyway, his Minister for Climate Change, Penny Wong, is too busy cleaning up after his botched home insulation scheme to be able to devote any time to climate change.
I recommend Dennis Shanahans excellent comment in The Australian newspaper http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/opinion/pm-delays-emissions-trading-scheme-as-inconvenient-political-truth/story-e6frg75f-1225858920473
========================
A scheme indeed. Well said Chris. Andrew Bolt has more: The greatest reversal of dud policies in our lifetime
Add this to the collapse of the Kerry-Leiberman-Graham bill in the U.S. Senate this week, and all of the sudden its been a really bad week for alarmists.
Of course anybody with half a brain can see that carbon trading is flatlining here in the USA.
Carbon is waaayy down from the high of over seven dollars a ton to ten cents a ton and has been at that level for months. The data is from the Gore-Pachauri sponsored Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX)

The global debt crisis is swallowing everything up at the moment.
Look around, every commercial site of any size at all is in default on their mortgages at this point.

Was listening to the Goldman hearings yesterday...there was an instance where Sen McCluskie of Missouri was into Derivatives...and she used some interesting words...my paraphrase...
these derivatives served no social value....
Now as we know,...the FDA has labeled CO2 as a pollutant...and California Attn General Jerry Brown modified a Referendum...not sure which one... to state CO2 was a pollutant...
Both Brown and McCluskie (sp?) are in on the planning I think.....
So I think that we are going to see a pivot away from blaming CO2 as a Global Warming cause and in this country simply labeling it as a pollutant...
After all no one wants to breathe a pollutant and then...the regulation of those big coal fired power plants will with carbon credit derivatives will serve a good and blessed social purpose!

Hopefully, the challenges to the EPA’s use of the IPCC’s “Science” will put a stop to this. Otherwise,,,,,

Check this site out. Two articles I read today, which are worth a reread if you can get them from this site. They were posted internally where I work:
1. House GOP signals Push to Block Climate measures in FY11 Budget.
2. Industry Argues BACT for GHGs Justifies Lawsuit Against Findings
http://insideepa.com/
Both kind of touch on the issue that CO2 should never have been considered a pollutant to begin with Sen Inhofe has done some good stuff with this also, but it will all be for naught if the Climate Bill passes.

As Grampa Dave and I had suggested. Is it in the realm of possibility a number of us could somehow form a panel where we communicate for a bit and come up with a draft letter that would represent the many viewers, members at FreeRepublic regarding our discontent with how the Federal Government, (EPA, Congress and White House) are dealing with the Carbon Trading scheme and gas emission regulations?
I wrote Jim a personal email and he told me that he would consider having FR send a letter to those mentioned above.
If any of you feel this could be a worth while endeavor, and at the same time recognize others at this site might be also interested in a group effort, please contact them.
So things go smoothly and no one is hammered to have to take the bull by the horns singly, one or more may be found to have sufficient time to champion this effort.
I write this request with the full knowledge there are times I may have to work between 5AM through 11PM for six days on some occasions. If I am requesting something of others that I myself feel is to much of a burden to have to chair so to speak, then forgive me up front. I wish I had more quality time to put into this whole global warming scam.
So in the spirit of simply asking the possibility of some of us being able to be able make the time and feel up to the task I'll leave it go at that.
Perhaps an admin could set up a temporary post at the top of the main login screen that would be dedicated to interactions between the willing to work something out.
And PLEASE. Do not feel obligated to respond. And I mean that.

I am sure similar thoughts have been on the mind of others. The question is could such a letter accompanied by graphs, perhaps major headlines exposing the CO2/AGW scam for what it is, have any positive effect on this Administration to understand what they may try to pull off may come back to haunt them down the pike.
