A lot of people don’t carry an ID with them when they are not driving.

Lots of people forget their drivers license when changing purses too. Chances are very good - unless there is a reason for them to be stopped - they are given the opportunity to have the officer follow them home, so they can produce an I.D.

The only problem that arises is that they don't have one.

We’d be furious if the Federal government tried to pass a law that stated everyone had to carry proof of citizenship at all times. What would we feel if your STATE tried to pass such a law? Because this is what the AZ law will amount to, at least in areas where everyone isn’t known by the Law already.

Do you really think an officer is going to drive a suspect Hispanic man home first, just to get his wallet?
