Well.., not saying that it’s a valid claim that it’s been found, but it’s something interesting — as we know that there was a world-wide flood and there was a ark that Noah built and it did come to rest upon some mountains over there. It may still be around and then again, it may not. I don’t know if it still is in one piece and recognizable.

It would certainly be very interesting if we did finally find it. Aside from finding it, we already have the sure Word of God about the World-wide flood, the reasons for it and that we all come from just three families (three couples, merely six people) to restart the entire human race ... :-)

The Noah story is the Jewish version of the Akkadian (per-Summerian) Gilgamesh flood story. Much more likely that the flood was experienced in the Persian Gulf when rising seas broke open the Strait of Hormuz. This is also the site of Eden. Can’t see how the ark got to Mount Ararat. Methinks there is something up there, but what it is is beyond me.

The real story was....Noah lived on the side of a mountain with his wife Mary and their 2 kids.

Noah was a fisherman by trade and finally, after many years, he got to buy a big boat.

His wife Mary wasn't really happy about it because she had to give up a washing machine and a new fridge....which back then was a bigger rock by the river and a hole in the glacier at the top of the mountain.

Nevertheless, the boat made Noah happy except for her daily nagging about the washing machine and fridge.

After about a year, on a cloudy night, with flashes of lightening in the distance, Noah went to the shore to tie down his boat (or so he told Mary). But it wasn't the real reason he went to the boat (as he did every Friday). It was poker night and the boys were waiting.

Noah complained about Mary with a passion that night. Matt said he had never seen him in such a rage. Mark said you could see fire in his eyes. Luke said he was talking about leaving Mary. And John said he stayed and helped him rig the boat for sail despite the weather.

According to John, Noah had already stocked the boat...a couple of chickens, a couple of baby pigs and his fishing gear.

John watched as Noah set sail, knowing that his friend would never return to Mary. The rough seas of marriage had done him in.

He eventually landed on a small island where he met Rebecca who thought he was really, really rich because he had a biiiiiig boat.

When she complained because he would not buy her a new washer or fridge, Noah became incensed.

On Friday, as he always did, he went to the boat. It was poker night...

We are in like agreement on this one! Not sure yet if the claim is valid, yet, but time will tell I'm sure. However, I would make note this is the first time someone who has claimed to have 'found the ark' was able to produce pictures (that weren't grainy or difficult to look at) as well as a video that are pretty clear. So that's a first right there.

Definitely interesting as well as fascinating. I would also point out that should this prove to be the real deal, the monumental discovery still will not change people's hearts or minds. One only has to look at the attitude of mocking and ridicule that permeates this thread to see that nothing has changed in that regard exactly as Peter predicted in 2 Peter 3:3-8. But would definitely strengthen the faith of anyone who already does believe in the biblical narrative!
