Russia Needs Black See Fleet in Crimea for War Against Georgia - April 30, 2010 - One of the Russian opposition leaders, Boris Nemtsov alleges that Russia needs Black see fleet in Crimea for war against Georgia.

‘I tell you, that the fleet is needed in war against Georgia. Tell me; is war with Georgia worth USD 40 billion?’ Nemtsov noted.

According to the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine, Russia is allowed to keep its Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine till 2042, It costs Russia USD 40 billion.
