What’s so difficult about showing a green card to law enforcement personnel? We all show our driver’s license upon request...to LEOs, or to clerks in department stores and grocery stores when we write a check. We have to show hunting and fishing licenses to wildlife officers. There are any number of occasions when all citizens are requested to show proof of identification, etc., for any number of reasons. It is beyond ridiculous for proper papers not to be shown under these circumstances when the abuse of our laws have become epidemic.

I agree; what's the big issue with the Arizona law other than it's a rallying cry for the Dem party and racemongers?

In our local Kaiser HMO, one must now provide photo id along with the membership card, as certain members were giving their cards to their (illegal) relatives who were presenting themselves as the member in order to receive free treatment.

All airlines require photo id to purchase a plane ticket

At my place of employment, I must show photo ID and a SSCard or passport to prove my citizenship status and eligibility to obtain employment

and yes, if pulled over, the first thing the officer usually asks for is photo id and proof of insurance

I hope that Texas follow quickly with the same state legislation. Not much chance getting Wackyfornia to do it, tho.

I showed my ID twice today. Big WHOOP.

Also, I used to live in another country, near its border with its neighbor. Because some streets would have us crossing the two lands, I had to carry my Passport in my purse every single day, in case I should be on the wrong side of the border. Without it I’d have been in deep doo doo, but with it, if I was asked at a checkpoint, I was fine and on my way. Again, BIG WHOOP.

Good, then all the illegals leaving AZ in droves, like lemmings, will head to CA for refuge. California will then become Atzlqn. Then we will see what the left coast will choose to do about it.
