So the bailout of Dinosaur Meida has begun. Today well-connected Democrat sugar daddies. Tomorrow the taxpayer.
I wonder why “Air **ck One” Ron Burkle and his BFF Fat Eddy Rendall would do this????
Just wondering ...........
it’s a bit of a mystery as Rendell and Lemieux ended up at odds over the Pittsburgh Casino (Lemieux backed one group that offered to include a new arena in the deal, Rendell wanted another to build it on the South Side. That group was allegedly politically well-connected to him. The Penguins blew the whistle on him through the local sports media, making things rather hot for Fast Eddie and forcing him to abandon that deal and go with Option 3, the Minority Contractor who built it near Heinz Field. And the taxpayer got stuck for the tab on the new arena) Maybe this is the Penguins way of making it up to him.
If it’s his money then good for him.
They know the media is on their side 100%
don’t expect that will improve their circulation amongst Flyer fans though
The circulation will not improve period. The Inquirer is a liberal rag with an affection for Rendell. Let the paper get better and more balanced and maybe some of us will go back to buying it again. It has been along time since I bothered to look at the Inquirer. Every time they call with a deal I tell them to get out of the Democrat party pocket and they hang up. Burkle and Rendell’s efforts prove they are still sucking up to the Dems.
What Burkle does and what Lemieux does are two different things. I don’t think this means that Mario agreed to it.
I do not care about the circulation, I hope he goes broke but, if it’s his money...
This is like buying an oil change for a car that just drove off a cliff.
Why don’t I know any rich people who are morons?
