In the Galleon Group insider trading case, the focus has now turned to Warren Buffett’s Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) deal, which came during the peak of the financial crisis. (NYSE: BRK.A) invested $5 billion in Goldman Sachs Group, a director at the bank tipped off Galleon Group’s Raj Rajaratnam about the deal.

It appears no one here has actually read the article.

That said, I wonder if Buffett himself provoked this investigation.

If the stock went up significantly before he made his purchase he has much to be furious about.

Hi Daisy

Everything you read about Goldman, and all the NY and LA businessmen that I talk to, just shouts how corrupt they are, how they laugh when they lie and cheat and front run by microseconds to make money, all the while grinding down the regular people underfoot for a few extra billion for themselves.

Did you see where it was noted the traders are all buying guns in case the you know what hits the you know what?

Or where an uber liberal, Matt Taibbi, called them vampire squids?

Strange times that we live in, where we are not allowed to criticize our lords and masters.

“The first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it’s everywhere.

The world’s most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money.

In fact, the history of the recent financial crisis, which doubles as a history of the rapid decline and fall of the suddenly swindled-dry American empire, reads like a Who’s Who of Goldman Sachs graduates.”

.....prosecutors have notified Gupta in a letter that they had intercepted a telephonic conversation between him and Rajaratnam......

The plot thickens considrably with this statement.......

Why was the government monitoring the phones of Gupta or Rajaratnam? Something seems rotten in India

Something is rotten at it’s core.

Or is it corpse.

We will be the last to know the truth. If ever.
