In typical Obama-speak, the president was divisive, inflammatory and darn right goofy.
As reported, in part, at Bloomberg, Obama said:
"The actions by the Arizona legislature threaten "to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans," Obama said. It also may hamper trust between residents and law enforcement authorities, he said.
"He said he has instructed U.S. authorities to monitor the state's actions and to "examine the civil rights and other implications" of the legislation."
Sorry, Mr. President, but the American people are fed up with your "notion of fairness" when it comes to most issues of the day, including the issue of illegal aliens.
Perhaps it escaped your notice, Mr. President, but two weeks ago an American citizen, Rob Krentz, was slaughtered on his own property in Arizona by a suspected illegal alien.
He was murdered as pay back because his brother had the audacity to report illegal aliens on the family property.
Does that meet your definition of fairness sir?
Many illegal aliens are also guilty of violating the borders and immigration laws of our sovereign nation, tax evasion, identity theft, voter fraud, stealing hundreds of billions of dollars each year in public services to which they are not entitled, not paying for medical services which forces hospitals and medical facilities into bankruptcy thereby denying American citizens the use of such facilities, taking millions of jobs that should be filled by Americans, contributing to the overcrowding of public schools, reintroducing diseases long eradicated back into America, and degradation of American language and culture with third-world language and ways.
Is this more fairness from south of the border, President Obama?
Arizona is on U.S. soil and should be defended by the government, a responsibility that you have refused to accept since your morning of glory on January 20, 2009.
When American citizens are murdered on U.S. soil for defending their own property, the time has come for decisive and firm action, Mr. President.
Governor Brewer knew full well that you could not be counted on to defend citizens against illegal aliens. Her decision to sign SB 1070 was a wise and prudent choice, the likes of which are no longer obvious in your version of Washington, D.C.
By the way, given your concern about civil rights, how about some gentle, or not so gentle, prodding of Attorney General Erick Holder with regard to the case involving voter intimidation by members of the New Black Panther party on November 4, 2008?
That matter has genuine civil rights implications, Mr. President, because the alleged intimidations were committed against American citizens.
White citizens, but citizens all the same!
Finally, Obama's commitment to expedite immigration reform because of the new law in Arizona is a dangerous sign that this president may be in the process of losing his grip and much more!
We have upwards of 20 million invading criminals in America, people who have no business being here. And our president wants to "solve" the problem by making illegal aliens legal?
That would be another example of "fairness" from a progressive mindset, right Mr. President?
Thanks, but no thanks. Do your job and enforce our borders and existing laws on the books, Mr. President.
That is both fair and constitutional, sir!
Obama is an idiot.
I have more respect for the toilet paper I flush than Obama! POS!
AMEN to that!
Where is the fairness of allowing lawbreakers to stay and work here by legalizing their status while close to 3 million intending immigrants who have completed all of the paperwork and clearances remain in their home countries waiting for their turn to come up to enter—some for up to 10 years?
Correct, there’s no fairness at all in that. It’s a shame more states don’t pass a 1070 of their own.
It’s only “fair” that Barack and his fellow Democrat goons gets millions of newly dependent Democrat voters. That’s ALL they care about. Only POWER has meaning to these evil thugs.
obastard is setting this country up for a revolt (he is clearly revolting). Challenging states rights as he has in Florida and Arizona this week.
States need to be even more audacious in their declaration of their sovereignty. This confrontation needs to be brought to a head.
The first person to use the words “fair” or “unfair” in any discussion/argument wins. Try it. It works.
Isn't that what he told us about his healthcare bill?
Here is a letter by way of Natl. Assn. of Former Border Patrol officers today from a former police officer to Obama about the AZ law.
Note from NAFBPO: He is a former cop,. and has lived on the major smuggling trail in that area for many years. Now if more Americans had the courage to speak out.
April 23rd, 2010
President Barack Obama
The White House
Washington, D.C.
Dear President Obama:
It is not the new Arizona illegal immigration law that my Governor just signed that is misguided, it is you, my friend (Im emulating Senator Juan McCain) who is misguided.
I know this may throw a monkey wrench into your goal of granting amnesty to the 20 million or more individuals who thumbed their noses at our law and made a mockery of any concept of national sovereignty and are residing here illegally, as many of them (hopefully) will now self-deport.
That would be a good thing, as it would save us the time and money otherwise needed to locate and return them to their country of origin, which this new law will greatly aid us in so doing.
The authority this law grants to our law-enforcement officials is long overdue and, if implemented years ago, we would not be facing our present illegal alien fiasco.
Now, other States of our Union are already considering passing similar laws which, while not surprising me, certainly pleases me. However, because of the number of democrats many of them now have as law makers, they may have to wait until after our next election to do so.
As for your amnesty aspirations, you can stuff them up your Pelosi.
Richard Humphries
As I recall that’s exactly what he said and you’re correct about it being a step in the right direction, people are fed up.
GREAT letter and dead on the mark!
For those with the stones to do it.
God Bless that rancher. As Jesus called all that believed, he was a martyr, and for his loss we are very sorry, but his sacrifice will not be forgotten.
