A heroic homeless man, stabbed after saving a Queens woman from a knife-wielding attacker, lay dying in a pool of blood for more than an hour as nearly 25 people indifferently strolled past him, a shocking surveillance video obtained by The Post reveals.
Some of the passers-by paused to stare at Hugo Alfredo Tale-Yax last Sunday morning and others leaned down to look at his face.
He had jumped to the aid of a woman attacked on 144th Street at 88th Road in Jamaica at 5:40 a.m., was stabbed several times in the chest and collapsed as he chased his assailant.

I think God destroyed two towns and flooded a whole world for less than this display of the lack of humanity.
It is common in big cities to see homeless people lying/sleeping on the sidewalk.
Hey, what if that was a test. You know, I think about things like that. Lot was the only one left who was decent, but what if this man was an angel who was testing humanity? I know, it’s probably silly, but I often wonder about that.
Either way, the people in this video make me sick. I’ll be 99.9% of them had a cell phone and would text someone if Lindsey Lohan farted a cocaine bubble, but won’t bother calling 911 for a hero.
I’m really sad about this. Just damn.
Special place in heaven reserved.
Well, good thing they got rid of that awful RINO, huh?

In a pool of blood?........wt*^%$ ?
An unfortunate set of circumstances. The guy fell face down in a neighborhood where bums sleeping on the sidewalk are commonplace. Really, the one guy who should have called 9-11 was the guy who rolled him over and saw blood. Of course, we don’t know that he didn’t make the call -— he was one of the last to look the guy over before the police and EMTs showed up.

Doesn’t surprise me in the least. I went to tech school in New York, NY., in the early 70’s. One of the first things I learned is that when you were on the street walking or in the Subway’s, is that you look straight ahead and you see “nothing”. Anything else was an invitation to a mugging or worse.
Other than the schooling I received, I was so damn grateful to get out of there alive and with my skin whole.
“The indifference of the pedestrians echoed the infamous 1964 murder of Kitty Genovese in Kew Gardens, Queens.”
Yes, it does.
Watch the video in the link and you’ll see he didn’t look like a typical homeless person. He looked like a guy who had been stabbed, bleeding and was dying in the middle of the sidewalk.
The blood was not apparent until the guy was rolled over.
Watch the video in the link.
Why in the hell didn’t the woman who was attacked call the police? She would have witnessed the stabbing. That’s the part I don’t understand. You never see her again in the video.
Watch the video in the link and try to excuse the bystanders behavior.
“Cops said they received four 911 calls at around the time of the attack reporting a woman screaming, but found nothing.”
uh huh. yeah, right
I wonder if NYC is returning to the days of Kitty Genovese?

Bloomberg is pulling a David Dinkins and instructing the police not to investigate street crime in order to mask the statistics that are showing a massive increase in crime in NYC.
