You make it damn uncomfortable for them to remain here. You remove all the incentives. You remove any and all reasons you can find that make them want to stay.

You don’t have to round them up. Once they find that the well has run dry and that there is little choice but to leave, they will leave.

Arrest anyone offering sanctuary and charge them with obstruction, remove the support systems that support the illegals.

There are many other ways, but these are just a few off the top of my head.

SZonian, your reply is the appropriate one.

Is this a daunting task, for a country that people all over the world risk their lives to enter in a multitude of illegal ways?

Absolutely.

But you have to ask yourself:

If you were an illegal immigrant in China and you were discovered by the authorities, how would you be treated?

If you were an illegal immigrant in Korea and you were discovered by the authorities, how would you be treated?

If you were an illegal immigrant in Russia and you were discovered by the authorities, how would you be treated?

If you were an illegal immigrant in Switzerland and you were discovered by the authorities, how would you be treated?

If you were an illegal immigrant in Italy and you were discovered by the authorities, how would you be treated?

If you were an illegal immigrant in (INSERT COUNTRY HERE) and you were discovered by the authorities, how would you be treated?

But most of all...
If you were an illegal immigrant in MEXICO and you were discovered by the authorities, how would you be treated?

This is not to say we should act like China, Russia or any other country. But the fact remains that if we do not control who is in our country, then we will be at the mercy of those who not only wish to take advantage of our generosity and affluence, but also those who do not have our best interests at heart and wish us harm.

People malign conservatives by painting us as xenophobe bigots who are against all foreigners and immigration. It is a slander we need to address constantly and directly, because it is a malignant lie intentionally used as a tool to discredit conservatism.

The fact of the matter is, conservatives are not against immigration, we are uniformly against ILLEGAL immigration. Many conservatives are immigrants ourselves, and nearly all of us come from immigrant stock.

It is not that we are succumbing to “the last one over the bridge” syndrome, like the transplanted New Englanders in Florida who complain about every new arrival from New England who takes up residence there. It is that we believe that a country that cannot control and regulate immigration cannot control its future.

Ok, that’s a plan. Dry up resources, the magnet so to speak that makes it attractive to stay here. Now, how does that process get started?

My view, you have to put pressure on your elected representatives since the approach you suggest will require policy changes. How does that pressure get applied?

Everyone that supports this plan will have to do far more than just write about it on FR. For that plan to go into effect, groups are going to have to be formed, volunteers meet a couple hours a week, grow membership, organize, increase visibility of the group through media events, develop effective message. Critical will be high turnout for any public events that are planned. Fundraising will be critical.

I’ve been through those processess more than once. It is a lot of work. Are you ready to commit to that level of effort?

Amen! Formulating a solution to a problem is the first big step. There are lots of people out there who have little direction and plenty of energy.

Once we have a clear understanding of solutions, the rest is easy, IMHO, so long as we have free speech. Communications has never been easier. Online networking is not the fuuture — it is NOW.
