Amount is small compared with total money supply. On the other hand, disruption in bill and coin circulation can severely impact day-to-day economic life of most citizens, creating serious social disruption and adding another layer of crisis of confidence over what we already have.

But in fact it’s not Mr. and Mrs. J6P who benefit by the “integrity” of the dollar.

It’s the beltway and wall street folks.

If the dollar were to completely collapse, my bet would be that withing a month or two, new models of trade would happen.

Some would die, fortunes would collapse, but the urge to survive and work would rule.
