Taxation: Ask almost anyone

I’d say “Pound Sand.”
Everyone here better watch them real carefully, they will use this as an excuse to privatize all your 401k’s and IRAs. There’s about 12 trillion of real money in these plans and twice now since the 2008 election they’ve hinted at going after your private retirement money.
How far will people in this country be pushed, before they push back-HARD?
It’s so simple. Want revenue? Want economic growth? Only one tax increase can do both.
Tax the lawyers.
Anyone for a vat is insane, stupid, ignorant, brainless, moronic, vacuous, dense, dumb, and probably dead. And yet 22% of polled Republicans are for it. Go Figure. Oh, I almost forgot, anyone for a VAT before the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution is repealed, is all of the above, and more.
Health Care: No one wants it, we’re getting it anyway.
Amnesty: No one wants it, we’ll get it anyway.
Cap and Tax: No one wants it, we’ll get it anyway.
A VAT: No one wants it, we’ll get it anyway.
Why are you even posing the question?
And the same people who voted Obama in 2008 will vote for him again in 2012.
.
Depends on how the message is delivered.
I’m sure that congress and obama will only impose the vat on rich people!
Oh no, a new tax on my Vat 69!!! How will I afford to buy it?
Vat, Bat, go to the mat, splat
REPEAL THE 16th AMENDMENT
This is insane. It used to take some effort to pin the label “tax and spend” on the Dems - now they’re embracing it. If their strategy is to get it in and fend off the Republican efforts to take it off over the next two years, 2012 is going to be a bloodbath.
They might not take no, but I’ll give them no. As in no income taxes, 0, nada, zilch, if I’m forced to pay a VAT tax on stuff.
One or the other, but absolutely not both.
Indeed, going after pension money is an old Democratic idea. Jesse Jackson suggested looting federal pension funds some years back and failed. Argentina is already doing it. They have plans A, B, and whatever. They have profound faith in fifty million illegals newly made citizens...perpetually pulling the D lever. Plus Acorn (in whatever guise they choose), felons, dead people, etc..
