Well, hm. I've never heard this angle before, but it makes total, creepy sense.

An EPA study published February 16 in Environmental Science & Technology (pdf of study here) found that a marked increase in the incidence of autism began in 1988. See its table above; click to enlarge.

The study found, "Although the debate about the nature of increasing autism continues, the potential for this increase to be real and involve exogenous environmental stressors exists."

According to the April newsletter of the Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute, this is the year the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices added a 2nd dose of the MMR vaccine to its recommendations.

SCPI found 3 "change points" in autism trends - 1981, 1988, and 1995. And here is what correlated to those years:

Those are alarming stats. All of American kids are vaccinated with mumps, measles and rubella and have been since the 70s. The next question would be why do some react and get autism and some not.

It's very distressing. All our kids were vaccinated during this time period. We had no idea fetal cells were being used.

I did a search with the document title and it looks as though there are plenty of links but I can’t open any of them...?

There’s all kinds of stuff in vaccines like dog kidney, duck blood, human serum, cow serum, monkey soemthing or other and of course formaldehyde and other interesting substances. The doc is a CDC doc so they aren’t minimizing the strange ingredients.

Okay, I found a link that has ingredients, one needs to click on each type of vaccine to get the list of ingredients by manufacturer. Some pret-ty icky things in there.

it seems if parents just wait as late as possible then there is less of a negative issue because the child has developed.

well, there’s a known link between autism, Type 1 diabetes and celiac disease. Perhaps the “trigger” affects people differently depending on sex, genetic predisposition and environmental factors...
