The House sponsor of legislation that would require presidential candidates to provide a copy of their original birth certificate is praising a similar Arizona measure, which is drawing condemnation from one of George W. Bushs former White House press secretaries.
Rep. Bill Posey (R-Fla.), sponsor of the House bill, which has attracted 11 co-sponsors, said an Arizona House-passed measure would help clarify murky guidelines about presidential eligibility.
The measure, adopted 31-22 earlier this week as part of a separate bill, would require President Barack Obama to show his birth certificate if he hopes to be on the states ballot when he runs for re-election. It would require U.S. presidential candidates who want to appear on the ballot in Arizona to submit documents proving they meet the constitutional requirements to be president.
Implementing these standards through legislation, which are listed in the Constitution, will help put to rest any future controversies surrounding presidential eligibility," Posey said in a Q&A for POLITICOs Arena forum.

Truth be told, methinks he is not related to Obama Sr. in any way.
You may be right. I always thought he looked more Indonesian. In any event, these new state laws apply to everyone who runs for President. They are not directed against Obama alone. Everyone must comply.

“McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936, considered U.S. territory at the time.”
This excerpt from the linked article is flatly false.
McCain was born in a public hospital in the city of Colon, Republic of Panama, and the Panam Canal Zone was NEVER a U.S. Territory as it was leased from the Republic of Panama.
As to Dana Perino’s remark, she sounds like a Democrat. Keep drinkin’ that Bush vintage kool-aid, Dana! It’s killing off your brain cells.
Little doubt that Davis took the naked pics of Obama mama too.
“Little doubt that Davis took the naked pics of Obama mama too.”
Have you got the pics? Like to see them...
Have you noticed how all these press accounts say “that the bill would require Obama....”? The bill wouldn’t require “Obama” specifically, the bill would require ANY presidential candidate seeking ballot access in AZ to provide birth documentation. This isn’t about Obama, it’s about enforcing the Constitution.
True, so true. Heck, they were taken in Davis's commie house during the Christmas holiday; which by the way, would facilitate an August birth.
I think the Obama Sr. farce was ginned up to protect the Dunham family and hide their commie ties. Wonder how much he was paid.
What really pisses me off (one of many about the child-in-chief), is that he lied about his lawyer license when he said that he “never had another name” and that ABOLUTLEY nobody in the media has ever brought this up. Heck, we all know about Soertoro or what ever his muslim name was...
Then that act of his has gone on for decades.
Yep
All?
"All press accounts. that the bill would require Obama....?'
An unintentional acknowledgement by the press that Obama has not shown his real birth certificate. They don't believe the Obama COLB image on the Web is worth the photons that light up people's computer screens.
Quick google image search brought up this blog run by some leftist but the picts are there.

I think the face looks right.
I was referring to all the press accounts about this Arizona legislation.
All of the stories I've read about the bill make it sound like this bill is specifically asking Barack Obama to provide proof of citizenship, when if fact the bill would require anyone seeking AZ ballot access for the office of President or Vice President to provide such documentation.
Politifact won’t let me post. They send me to an infinite loop. This is the second article today where they shut me out.
Jerks.
Posey needs to be working on his own state legislature. 0bama can easily forget about a small state like Arizona but he won’t easily by pass Florida. If Florida passes a bill requiring that he prove he is a natural born citizen, using the natural born definition in place at the time the constitution was written, 0bama is toast without even having to see the birth certificate.
Still it appears to be an inadvertent acknowledgement.
when if fact the bill would require anyone seeking AZ ballot access for the office of President or Vice President to provide such documentation.
Like you say they should state the fact that "require anyone seeking AZ ballot access" but they are stating it as an Obama problem...which it is because no other presidential candidates will have a problem with the law.
“All of the stories I’ve read about the bill make it sound like this bill is specifically asking Barack Obama to provide proof of citizenship, when if fact the bill would require anyone seeking AZ ballot access for the office of President or Vice President to provide such documentation.”
Indeed, I don’t understand the issue here. The NBC requirement is in the Constitution. This law requires “everyone” wanting to be on the ballot to prove NBC status. So, IF President Obama is a NBC, then why should showing the documents be such an issue?
I suspect that many of his supporters, and democrats, suspect something quite isn’t right with POTUS Obama’s credentials, and they don’t want such a law passed that forces him to produce proof. OR many don’t agree with the NBC requirement and are intentionally attempting to circumvent it rather than ammend the constitution as required by the constitution.
IF this legislation gets through in its present form and is signed by the Governor of AZ, then IF anyone....especially someone tied directly or indirectly to the POTUS attempts to overturn the legislation...then it makes them look guilty. Why should any reasonably person, once the law has passed, oppose it? They are making the excuse right now that the AZ legislature is “wasting taxpayers time” working on this legislation. However, after it is passed, IF it is, then that argument goes out the window. IN FACT those screaming about “wasting of time” should actively oppose legal challenges to the law because it would be a “waste of the State’s money and time to defend it. IF Barrack Obama or anyone else sees this as onerous...that dog just don’t hunt.
Perino basically is saying “YES we can & Yes we DO! Screw the Constitution!”
