Two Canadian teachers from Winnipeg became internet superstars overnight. Their video got two million hits in the first couple of days on You Tube. Unfortunately for them, they have now been fired. Fox News reports as follows. (Click here for video)
A pair of Canadian high school teachers whose enthusiasm at a pep rally morphed into a mock lap dance that became an Internet sensation are now out of jobs.
Jackie Sneesby, chairwoman of the Winnipeg School Division, said teacher Chrystie Fitchners resignation was accepted Monday while the short-term contract for Adeil Ahmed expired and would not be renewed.
Stunned students pulled out their cell phones at Churchill High School in February and captured video of the fully clothed couple as they performed a sexually suggestive bump and grind that included a brief moment of simulated oral sex.
The school board was not amused. The bawdy couple was suspended with pay almost immediately. The suspension was amended to being without pay soon thereafter.
All this is amazing to anyone who lives in New York City. How do they get rid of a teacher so quickly in Winnipeg? In New York, home of the soon to be discontinued rubber rooms, a teacher can stay on the payroll for years before they are finally given the boot. They could sit there with a stack of magazines and a laptop for the duration of the school day and collect full pay.
We are not talking about simple incompetence. Hitting and having sex with students has landed people in the rubber rooms as well. The New York Post reports as follows on one such case.
At the beginning of his 32-year career as a math teacher in Queens, Francisco Olivares allegedly im pregnated and married a 16-year-old girl he had met when she was a 13-year-old student at his Corona junior high, IS 61, The Post learned.
He sexually molested two 12-year-old pupils a decade later and another student four years after that, the city Department of Education charged.
But none of it kept Olivares, 60, from collecting his $94,154 salary.
He hasnt set foot in a classroom in seven years since beating criminal and disciplinary charges. Chancellor Joel Klein keeps Olivares in a rubber room, a district office where teachers accused of misconduct sit all day with nothing to do
The news from Winnipeg is sensational to all New Yorkers. How do they get rid of bad teachers so quickly? The New York City Board of Education needs to send a fact finding delegation to Winnipeg as soon as possible. They could teach us a thing or three.
I've finally found not one but two of those teachers who stripped their way through school! That's almost like finding a stripper without a kid. lol
Just do it. (Not the lap dance, I might add.)
Appearing soon at a bar near you!
Teacher, teacher.
Not Guilty!!!!!!!!
CNN aired some of the video from the incident.
Nothing much compared to a real lap dance (or, ah, so I’ve heard), but incredibly inappropriate behavior for teachers at a school pep rally.
Here’s the CNN story on it (Admins: nothing in the vid should violate site standards - other than CNN’s standard leftism :-)

“Gee. I don’t feel tardy... CLASS DISMISSED!”
