He (J.D.Hayworth.) is, I would bet, the only Tea Party candidate with a history of hosting fundraisers in lobbyist Jack Abramoff's sports skyboxes....been enthusiastic legislative earmarkers, or voted for the Medicare prescription drug benefit, or supported the 2005 highway bill, which included the "bridge to nowhere"?

Is all of this true?

No. Hayworth was cleared of ALL Abramoff charges...McCain is the one who got big bucks from the firm Abramoff headed.

This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2008 election cycle.

John McCain
Merrill Lynch $373,595
Citigroup Inc $322,051
Morgan Stanley $273,452
Goldman Sachs $230,095
Greenberg Traurig LLP $146,437 (Abramoff)[snip]

Start here. Read all my posts on that thread. McCain is the one with the corrupt past.

Read the following link for a good description of how JD was robbed.

"The cost of prosecutors ignoring the "basic rules of fairness" is even higher when the target is an elected official and his opponents suddenly perceive him a vulnerable.  The classic example is JD Hayworth."
