Cardinal Roger Mahony is a left-winger, which is why the LA Times and the rest of the press love him so much. The Diocese of Los Angeles had just as many child molesting cases and just as many cover-ups as the Diocese of Boston, but in Boston, Cardinal Law was a conservative. So the press attacked Law and remained silent about Mahony.
