I was hoping to watch the implosion on TV, but 4 hours before it was supposed to happen I got sick with stomach flu and had to go to the emergency room. I was placed in a hospital room without a working television. Clearly those responsible planned ahead to limit the number of witnesses of their activities.

So now we have “blasters?” LOL (very funny satire)!
Seriously, I do remember when they imploded the King Dome in Seattle — the King County council thought it would be worth millions to have cameras everywhere to record it.
Instead, all the cameras were destroyed almost instantly and, because of the design (an engineer friend of mine predicted this BTW) all you could see was a cloud of smoke. Both the internal and external footage was useless.
They needed “blasters” then to prove they didn’t screw the pooch on that one!
