The Feds shot the Branch Davidians as they attempted to escape the burning buildings. John Danforth aided-and-abetted the cover-up.

Davidians were weird, Koresh may have been loving children a little too much. but
THEY DIDN'T DESERVE TO BE MURDERED for it.
Can you say “abuse of power”?
Janet Reno saved the children by burning them to death. Thanks for your help Janet.
If you learn that a licensed gun dealer is in possession of guns, you must burn down their house with everyone inside (especially women & children), just to be sure.

Well I spent the 30+ minutes to watch the documentary, and I’m convinced.
Now what?

Their mere beliefs, thoughts, and understandings, no matter how twisted they may be, is also an excuse for the massacre of over 150 Americans! Shouldn't that be "Their mere beliefs, thoughts, and understandings, no matter how twisted they may be, is also NOT an excuse for the massacre of over 150 Americans!"

We know that, the government obviously believes differently.

To expand on my earlier point about SWAT teams. I completely get the need for SWAT (used to be called HRT for Hostage Rescue Team) in HOSTAGE situations. Which is how they were first introduced.
Can someone then tell me, short of a hostage situation, (or perhaps where someone has barricaded themselves into a house or building and is firing at passersby which is essentially a variant on the hostage theme) where these GI Joe tactics are justified in domestic law enforcement?

Koresh “married” many underage females, with the consent of their parents, and consummated those “marriages.”

Didn’t the FBI surround the compound while GHW Bush was still President?

His peaceful surrender was never a consideration. The local Sheriff is on record as saying that all that was necessary was for him to call up Koresh, and tell him to come down to the station. Proof that this would work is that it had happened previously.
That is not to mention that the murderous thugs at the ATF were at a local firing range with him just a few days before the raid was executed.

No. This was all on Bill Clintons watch. The incident started in February of that year.

Texas Child Protection people interviewed Koresh and other Davidians many times and found no cause for prosecution. The original ATF raid was a fiasco from the start - the siege was ridiculous - and the final assault a flagrant abuse of power. Koresh could have been picked up while jogging any day of the week. The whole thing was a textbook example of government run amok.
