She didn't lie. She said she was not retreating and that she was going to take the fight to them, from another direction. Do I need to find the exact quote for you?

No it wouldn't. Politicians leave office mid term to take on greater roles all the time. One who stays in a less valuable roll instead of moving on to a more valuable service isn't doing anybody a favor except to those who hate this country.
