Clearly it has nothing to do with Iceland being a hotspot in the intersection of the Eurasian and Atlantic plates.

I believe the weight of the snow is minuscule to the power of a hot headed volcano! The fact that the volcano is erupting proves that, however, the weight of the ice and snow is not insignifcant. It is enough to cause 'extra' pressure to have to build up before it can erupt, and once it's thrown the ice and snow away it can really blow.

Against a hot magma of how thousands of degrees?Where the hell have you been? Al Gore, winner of the Nobel Prize, has told us that the Earth's core is "MILLIONS of Degrees."
Try and keep up with Science, willya. In fact, I have just received a $14 Billion Stimulus Grant to put like these really big freezers on that nasty Mt. St.Helen volcano. As soon as I find a reputable Female Environmental Scientist of Color to head up the project, we be coolin' that big sucka way down. Volcano? What Volcano?
Peace in the Valley, Baby!

Well most of the ice in the north is already floating on water so we can take that out of play immediately. You're trying to inject facts into Glowbull Warming science.

Gee how did I know they would work faux warming into it somehow? BTW enviroweenies I do not believe that there is much of a connection between weather and geology except that when a volcano goes off it ends any warming(even faux warming!) over night

“A thaw of Iceland's ice caps in coming decades caused by climate change may trigger more volcanic eruptions “
Okey dokey.
So basically SUV’s in Iowa are melting more ice in Iceland than are gushing volcanoes directly under that ice.
Got it.
I think now my chocolate lab is sophisticated enough to have a career in journalism.

Well according to reports the VOLCANO blew thru the Ice Cap like a hot knife thru butter.
Stop blaming humans. Nature apparently is not happy with all the busy body BS.
