OSLO (Reuters) A thaw of Iceland's ice caps in coming decades caused by climate change may trigger more volcanic eruptions by removing a vast weight and freeing magma from deep below ground, scientists said on Friday.

Duu-uh. How about the ice is melting because the volcanoes are active and the crustal heat flow is higher?
But what do you expect from people who routinely put the cart before the horse?

I believe the weight of the snow is minuscule to the power of a hot headed volcano!
The temperature of snow is keeping the mountain cool? Against a hot magma of how thousands of degrees?
Unbelievable!

Bwahahaha!
I know others on this thread said that they were waiting to see how the Cult of the Global Warming gods (or 'Gorons' for short) was going to connect this to the volcanic eruption -- but I have to say I didn't see this one coming...

Against a hot magma of how thousands of degrees? Thousands? I thought it was a million. /s

Silly you! The floating ice is pressing down on the water, holding the magma in. If the ice is gone, the volcanoes will erupt!! QED.

“It would be a lot cheaper to throw scientists into volcanoes.”
First we have to pay their way to get to the Rim of the Volcano, so we can watch a potential accident.

Good thing the oceans are so deep or we would be knee deep in magma.

Saw this one coming. The desperate global warming freakshow is still trying to salvage their hoax and scam. They’ve got a lot of money on the line.

Temperature of magmas is difficult to measure (due to the danger involved), but laboratory measurement and limited field observation indicate that the eruption temperature of various magmas is as follows:
* Basaltic magma - 1000 to 1200oC
* Andesitic magma - 800 to 1000oC
* Rhyolitic magma - 650 to 800oC.

So the ice is the only thing holding back the water. If the ice is gone the water will explode out of the depths and flood the land.......putting out the volcanoes. LOL
