On the Facebook page of Gov. Bobby Jindal, a poster has published a photo tht he claims shows – a Jindal staffer and her boyfriend – who were beaten in the French Quarter.
The couple was attacked after leaving a private dinner at Brennan’s, following the Southern Republican Leadership Conference.
Administration officials said Jindal's chief campaign fundraiser, 25-year-old Allee Bautsch, suffered a broken leg during an altercation with a group of people in the French Quarter. Her 28-year-old boyfriend broke his jaw and nose and had a concussion during the incident. Someone, using the name Jake A. Neal, posted the photo. “I heard sirens immediately prior to leaving the establishment, and saw New Orleans police officers running towards an area located within a block adjacent to the oyster bar. I followed, and managed to grab one photo of the pair being attended to by a police officer before that police officer politely (no sarcasm intended ) asked me to move on. He explained that he was “trying to get this lady some medical attention”, and that he didn’t need to deal with a photographer at the moment. As I said, the officer was polite, and appropriately professionally attentive, so I moved on,” Neal wrote underneath the photo.
“As relates to this matter, I have no political agenda. I can’t say with certainty even that this is the same couple or incident, but I strongly suspect it. The photo may not be particularly revelatory, but rather, simply illustrative. As you will see from the photo, there don’t appear to be any Palin pins evident. Of course, that hardly diminishes the brutality of the event, nor the hypocrisy of the MSM. I think it’s safe to assume there would have been a rush to judgment were the circumstances different.” According to Superintendent Warren Riley, the couple, whom the NOPD did not identify, were walking from a function in the 400 block of Royal Street when a group of three to five men approached and began making derogatory comments toward the couple.
Investigators said when the man turned to face them, one of the suspects struck him several times and the woman fell to the ground and screamed. The suspects then took off, and EMS was called by officers who were in the area. Police said they only have a description of one of the suspects, who was described as a white man who appeared to be dirty, in his 20s, about six feet tall with a thick build and thin face. He had a beard and auburn-colored hair in a pony tail. His accomplices were also said to be white men.
While there were protestors outside the event at Brennan's, it is not known if they were involved in the incident.
I lived in NOLA for 9 years. The fact that the assailants were white and that this was in the quarter near brennans mean one thing — They were not local.

Megan Kelly interviewed the lady’s mother on Fox along with FNC commentator, Andrea Tantaros. Kelly claimed that this (April 16) was the first that Fox had heard of this attack. Good grief, it’s been around the Internet for days now.
In any case, the mother would not talk about much except the girl’s injuries. She was seriously injured. She was deliberately stomped. Her leg is broken in 5 places. Her ankle is held together by pins. Her boyfriend’s nose and jaw were broken. They were taunted as soon as they came out of the restaurant, and the taunters followed them down the street. The boyfriend told her to run for the car. As they turned the corner (into St. Louis St.) the street got very dark suddenly and they were attacked by these thugs.
Although I kind of agree. A broken nose, concussion, and broken leg between them and there's not a drop of blood? Also, who would pick a fight with that guy only to run away when his girlfriend screams?
Oh, yes. She’s had a rod inserted in her leg. She will have 5 major surgical scars. THe mom did not want to talk about the taunting because she “did not want to interfere with the police investigation”.
From what i’ve seen in the past maybe this was from some of Martha Coakley’s (D) buddies?
Just that the photo may be mislabeled.

I’m agreeing with you. If this guy has a broken nose, from the ones I’ve witnessed, his shirt should have lots of blood dripped on it.
You’d think that if they were going to stage some attack in which they were targeted for wearing Palin pins, they’d have been wearing Palin pins. So it might not be them.
We would all do well to remember the truth about liberals: they are vicious and violent. And they will destroy you given the change.

Seems kind of wimpy to me that if this group of thugs really are out to prove some political thing that they would attack two young people who were alone and beat them up.
If they were such “Political Heroes” why not attack an equal size group and make it a real fight.
From this alone it is obvious that the group was probably a bunch of liberals.

BURNING: This was very serious. She has four breaks in her leg. It’s her left leg. She has a rod that goes down the entire center of her leg with seven screws. She has a screw through her entire ankle.
4 breaks in her leg, a steel rod and 7 screws. She is a tough young lady to even be conscious.
In the interim, do they not have friends willing to form a posse and hunt down the perps?
It is my understanding that Jindal has been as quiet as a mouse about this. Is this correct?
