Hanity is not a reporter but a news commentator and opinion guy. That said he is using his employer to promote a political cause on their dime. And, Murdoch is right to say that a news org. should not be supporting any party.
Can’t whine when MSNBC does stuff like this and then justify it when Fox people do it.

And, Murdoch is right to say that a news org. should not be supporting any party. Is this rally actually affiliated with any actual political party?
Or is this rally really just a gathering of people who are disaffected from either party?

Fox IMO lost money tonight, when I found out about this I didn’t even put Sean on, how many others are like me?
CBS News has the biased Katie Couric and the biased 60 Minutes, except for a few shows Fox News is pretty fair and balanced, there’s leeway for Sean to do a show from the Tea Party, it doesn’t reflect on Fox News because we know what kind of show Sean does.

"Hanity is not a reporter but a news commentator and opinion guy. That said he is using his employer to promote a political cause on their dime. That said he is using his employer to promote a political cause on their dime. You nailed it. This is not without precedent. Dan Patrick of ESPN 15 years ago or so used to morning sports reports to various local radio stations. He would call in and spend 10 minutes with a DJ, and do this for a couple of hours. ESPN got wind of this and told him to stop. When a corporation has a policy, it needs to apply it equally to all employees.

He wasn't just reporting, he was collecting money to support them
Be honest now, if someone from CNN, ABC, MSNBC had done this - you all would agree...

“Hannity” is not a news show. It is a political commentary with a stated conservative slant.
Get real.

Sorry, no.
Hannity is a political commentator; he makes no bones about his beliefs.
The gripe with the MSM? They refuse to acknowledge it.
It's not about 'principles" it's about marketing.

Hannity advances a conservative agenda every single night and day.
Cant whine when MSNBC does stuff like this and then justify it when Fox people do it.
MSNBC would NOT pull its people from a MoveOn Fest. They'd set the anchor desk right up in the middle and broadcast news, not commentary, from the midst of their CommieFest 2010.
So, one has to wonder at Fox News' reasoning in this one.
Personally, I think it means that Fox News is fearful of some kind of money or legal issue.
