30 years ago, many people thought that marijuana was right around the corner from being legalized. If you went back 30 years ago and asked people if they thought marijuana would be legal in 2010, you’d probably find as many people who thought it would be legal as would be illegal. And if you go back 50 years before 1980, you’ll find that there were no federal laws against marijuana at all.
Historically, laws against marijuana will likely be seen as a weird blip.
Marijuana and heroin are not the same thing by the way.
