As Tea Partiers gather for today's rally in Boston, home of the original Tea Party protest in 1773, 42 percent of Tea Party supporters think the amount of income taxes they'll pay this year is unfair, according to a new CBS News/ New York Times poll.

Yet while some say the Tea Party stands for "Taxed Enough Already," most Tea Party supporters - 52 percent - say their taxes are fair, the poll shows. Just under one in five Americans say they support the Tea Party movement.

See, we don't know what we think. We need four boobs known as the "CBS News Polling Unit" to TELL US what we think about taxes.

I can hardly wait until there is a poll that shows Tea Party Supporters Want Service Hussein On Their Knees.

The story fails to supply the script of the question(s) posed.

I, too, call bulls**t on CBS’s conclusion.

Just under one in five Americans say they support the Tea Party movement.

Why would the 47% who sponge off the rest of us support the Tea Party movement?

I just finished taxes and I am pissed!

And here's the biggest joke (from the article):

This poll was conducted among a random sample of 1,580 adults nationwide, interviewed by telephone April 5-12, 2010. Phone numbers were dialed from RDD samples of both standard land-lines and cell phones. The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample could be plus or minus two percentage points. The error for subgroups is higher.

An oversample of people who describe themselves as supporters of the Tea Party movement were interviewed, for a total of 881 interviews. The results were then weighted in proportion to the adult population. The margin of error for the sample of Tea Party supporters is three points

So the poll was not limited to actual Tea Party people, just a little over half of those who "said" they were Tea Party "members". Now what do you think the chances are of CBS actually verifying that those who said they were Tea Party members actually are?
What are the chances that that CBS actually called known Demos and asked them "If you were a Tea Party member, would you think you paid a fair amount of taxes?"

CBS? We remember Dan Rather and your TANG mess. We do not believe you. In fact, at tomorrows rallies, someone should make an effort to show CBS's "poll" to be so wrong, it's not funny. Poll the people who actually attend the rallies, the REAL Tea Party people, for their views on taxes.

BTW . . what's next CBS? A poll to see how the Repubs think, but the only people polled are registered Demos?

I am a tea party supporter... and I also think MY “federal income tax” bill is fair.

It is all the OTHER taxes I pay to various levels of government that bothers me, especially property taxes. I pay nearly 10 times more in property taxes than I do federal income taxes.

Only delusional cBS would think we are content with 50% taxation with MORE taxes from city, county, state and feds on the horizon! And we don’t make 1/4th of 0 $250,000 threshold, and we are paying MORE taxes, hubby’s Navy retirement check has been $10.80 lighter since January. We are paying more for gas, food, and basic necessities. We are also facing NEW BIG fees..taxes on our Tricare for Life over 65 health insurance for the retired Military in 2011.

IF we can find a doctor that will take Medicare/TFL. Ours is quitting over obamacare.
