McCain: Time to 'pull the trigger' with Iran [Title differs from article quote]

Washington - Senator John McCain says the United States has been backing away from a brewing fight with Iran, while that country moves ever closer to having nuclear weapons.McCain opened a Senate hearing Wednesday by saying that Iran will get the bomb unless the United States acts more boldly.

Speaking figuratively, the Arizona Republican says the U.S. keeps pointing a loaded gun at Iran but failing to "pull the trigger."

The rightness of his comments on Iran do NOT depend on his immigration position.
Actually, they do. It's stupid to leave your back door wide open (as McCain has advocated) while attacking foreign States, since such a policy provides a means for those other foreign States to retaliate in an asymmetric manner, i.e., by sending agents across the U.S. border to commit acts that effect death and injury, destruction of public and private property, a general lawlessness, etc.

Exactly. And this is why it became increasingly difficult to take the GWB 'War on Terror' seriously because while George talked a good game about going after al Qaeda, taking out Saddam, etc., by any standard of measure he FAILED to defend the sovereign borders of the United States, which truth be told, was an impeachable offense.

As for McLame, he's trying to parlay his latest comments into triggering the public memory about his 'Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iran' wisecrack a while back, hoping that the Arizona voters will think "wow, McCain's talkin' smack about Iran, he sounds tough, let's put him back in there", but I submit that the voters aren't as stupid as McCain seems to think they are.

If someone wants to review the threats to our southern border, they can begin by putting the name "John Sidney McCain" at the top of their list. As long as that RINO-phuckwit is sitting in the Senate, Arizona and the rest of America can expect nothing but continued duplicity, deception and double talking.

Oh spare us, rabs

True Alinsky behavior. Attack the messenger instead of legitimately trying to debate the issue.

Oh well, the thread needs one token liberal, guess you're it.

McCain and Kennedy essentially drafted the “Amnesty with chain migration” bill.

“Yes Roger, but did MeCain advocate taking out Iran’s nuclear program a long time ago? Hell no. He stood by and watched it get to this point, and now he’s fighting for his political life and wants to make brownie points.

MeCain would sell out every family member if only he stood to gain from it.

Spot on, as usual!

What are you, rabs' girlfriend and you patrol his threads attacking those that disagree? Need a life much? Please know that I'm sitting here LMAO (at you, not with you) at the irony that I'm sure is lost completely on you i.e., you show up, call me an "Alinsky-ite" for "attacking the messanger" and then proceed to call me a name! What a "master debater" you are, Saul.

BTW, how do you get "attacking the messager" from my previous post? You know what, nevermind. I already deal with enough foolishness in my life and have no need to add you to the pile. So bear this in mind: I'm not reading or responding to anything else you post here. You have a nice day.

Just like a liberal, you attack Rabs first, with your puerile "oh spare us Rabs" which probably took a whole bunch of your neurons to come up with, and when I commented on your infantile conduct, you attempt to ramp it up because your fractured pride demands it, and you pathetically try to play that "girlfriend = you're a homo" card.

Classic liberal behavior.

You know what, nevermind. I already deal with enough foolishness in my life and have no need to add you to the pile.

I suspect that just being you is foolishness enough.

So bear this in mind:

Oh I will remember this for the rest of my days (chuckle).

I'm not reading or responding to anything else you post here.

You are wise enough to recognize when you're way outta your league. Good for you.

You have a nice day.

My days aren't just nice, they are wonderful. Same to you.

Iran is most certainly a threat, and it has been a threat ever since Jimmy STP Carter stabbed the Shah in the back and helped to usher in the age of the Assahollah and his mullah-thugs.

Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton understands the threat and had his advice been heeded by the prior Administration, we would not now be having to deal with a nuclear Iran, ditto for North Korea.

The fall of Iran to terrorists in 1979 was a major step which led to the expansion of jihadist attacks throughout the world, and the best way to contain, reduce and limit such attacks is to go right to the nest of cockroaches in Tehran and give ‘em the nuke they’re seeking, just not in the manner in which they’re hoping for.

Did I stutter when I typed:

“Congress would have never approved such a ‘declaration’ after 2006, certainly. Probably not after 2004, either.”

?
