SACRAMENTO, California -- A document fished out of a California state university trash bin last week has prompted a state investigation into the university's foundation arm and its refusal to disclose details related to Sarah Palin's upcoming speech at the school.
On Tuesday, California Attorney General Jerry Brown said his office would look into the finances of the California State University, Stanislaus Foundation, as well as allegations that the nonprofit organization violated public disclosure laws by keeping details of Palin's contract secret.

Yeah, they ‘found’ it in a trash bin.
Palin also must be provided with a suite and two single rooms in a deluxe hotel near the campus in Turlock in the Central Valley. During her speech, her lectern must be stocked with two water bottles and bendable straws. The document, dated March 16, does not include compensation details for Palin, who commands speaking fees as high as $100,000. Her appearance at the university gala is expected to draw a large crowd, with tickets selling for $500 each.
Calling Dan Rather!
Very interesting information.
Yeah...right...who’s foul mind and corrupt word processor spewed out this TRASH....
I am sooooo sure. LOL.
Think they’ll take into account during their ‘investigation’ (ooooo! :-O ) that it’s written in Bolshevik red crayon??? ;-)
You should see the stuff in contracts for people like Jolie and others in the craft...............
They are so afraid of Sarah they are peeing their pants and showing themselves the idiots that they are.
Basically targeting anyone now who pays Sarah to speak. You will be hauled up before them!
Several things that are interesting:
1. They claim that they found the INTACT DOCUMENTS in the shredder trash. What’s up with that?
2. What is the “crime” that is actually being called out here.
3. I found nothing in the article that said anything improper was done. The information is written to cause one to INFER that there was something amis, but the actual information supports nothing of the kind.
This is weird. I can not find anything that suggests that something “wrong” was going on. Nothing.
Ah, so the contract required Sarah's hotel room be equiped with a pot for brewing potions and spells, did it? Go on with your testimony . . . .
“Very interesting information.”
Really? I couldn’t care less. Just like I don’t care whether Al Gore demands that there be no green M&Ms in his bowl before going on stage. It’s irrelevant.
Yup. I find it ironic that a university has all of their important papers actually written on paper and resorts to shredding to get rid of said paper.
Guess the University of California is not completely onboard with those computer gizmo thingys.
This reminds me of the “wardrobe controversy” that was completely and utterly bogus.
Last night I heard Keith Olbermann saying something about bendable straws but I had no idea what he was talking about. Now I know. Boy, they sure are scared of Palin and the Tea Party. Good. They should be.
If the Lefties want to play mental ping pong, we'll take their opening serve and volley back with a list of what Nancy Pelosi spends OUR MONEY on when she travels.
Of course it is bogus. Found in trash while searching for food or whatever? Nonsense.
