Following the orders of someone usurping the office of President is contrary to that oath. These orders are illegal, and there is precedent - My Lai - where it was clearly established that officers have the duty to disobey illegal orders.

Officers swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution but not to obey the orders of the president. The enlisted oath contains the Constitution provision plus obey the orders of the president and officers over them. Lt.
