After candidates complain to organizers, Orly Taitz's speaking engagement is withdrawn. Taitz has been a leading voice in the discredited 'birther' movement.
(snip)
One candidate threatened to withdraw from the event before Tuesday's decision to uninvite Taitz. John Dennis, who is running for the Republican nomination to oppose House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco, said he would not appear on the same stage as Taitz.
"The presence of a discredited publicity seeker on the same platform with patriotic Americans distorts the focus of our movement, distracts from our common message and gives ammunition to those who continue to question our legitimacy," Dennis said in a statement.

Good!
Taiz should start her own grass roots movement and her supporters can organize their own events! Take it national!
Don’t piggy back on the Tea Party.

Again, standing. No American citizen will ever have standing to challenge whether Obama is legally, constitutionally qualified to serve as president. I think the opinion sucks.
It might suck, in your opinion, in which case a competent attorney should appeal it.
They are listening to them because if people like Taitz start showing up at events, participants like ME won’t.
That’s why.
If the Tea Party wants to die, they’ll dilute their small-government, less spending message to include everybody’s pet protest.
For example, I’m pro-Life and have attended pro-Life rallies and events ... but I do NOT support the Tea Party agenda being about abortion.
Focus, focus, focus ... or die.
dennis needs to be defeated in the Primary!!!
No abortion on demand is a conservative issue. Plus Obama has 3 ways to federally fund infanticide with your premiums in HCR. Why isn't it a issue for tea parties?
Asuming all that it true, start your own 22A movement!
Fund it, take it national!
The Tea Party must focus or die.
It’s just that simple.
It’s about taxation without represenation (congress people voting differently than their constituency) and about government overspending.
If you make it about 50 different things (even if related to the Constitution) IT WILL DIE.
I’m sorry to be blunt but this is just how it is. Organizations must have a focus
This is BS. This is as bad as what the left does. Agree or disagree but Taitz should be allowed to speak.
Lots of true and right causes have lost court cases, as we all know.
And yet we still haven't seen a birth certificate.
and which non-sequitur would that be this time??????
And of course we know no one fighting and true and right cause has ever had this happen to them. :::sarc tag in case it is needed:::
The one who believes Orly Taitz is an idiot, same as always.
so much for free speech...obviously these candidates do not hold our US Constitution at the level of respect they should.
If they truly respected the US Constitution they would allow anyone to speak their mind.
It is those with staunch principles we need to run for office not those that will use political clout to impede others during a campaign.
Good. She’s a crackpot and her presence would drive away both credible candidates and sane voters. I wouldn’t go near any gathering where she was slated to speak.
I agree with you. It seems our side is willing to have a complete fraud signing away our freedoms. It is all about some political win for them, not about preserving the country. We are in big trouble.
That’s crap. Free speech has nothing to do with this issue. If the RNC refused to allow Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid to speak at the Republican National Convention would you complain that the RNC doesn’t respect the Constitution?
Orly was a dentist,I believe, and has also had a little law experience. No, she’s not a good lawyer.(are there any?).She is on our side, and I don’t think it is all just about getting attention. I do think she should bow out of public appearances for now, as it is not helping us any.
