BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) -- Democratic state Sen. Ted Deutch on Tuesday handily won the first U.S. House race since Congress passed President Barack Obama's massive health care overhaul.

crap
Not very surprising given the voting record of that district. I will be curious to see the final numbers though.
it was a heavy duty D district.
It would have to be to keep reelecting Wexler!
It’s a lost district. Probably like mine (20-debi-wastedman-shlotz).
Seriously, I live deep in enemy territory.
It’s a gerrymandered Democrat district. Almost impossible for a Republican to win.
What matters is who counts the votes.
I guess this idea that the Republicans can waltz into the majority in Nov. is a bit premature.
What a Deutch-bag.
My condolences on the poitics but I bet your weather is awesome.
They won’t be ready for a change until the Dems establish a Politburo and disallow personal movement without “papers” of approval from the local Commissar.
Idiots...
Enough for me to say, “is the shifting tide true, or am I just telling myself what I want to hear?”
19th district is a hard, hard win for Republicans.

probably.
With the MSM in this country and almost half the people on handouts, It might even be impossible.
Well, so much for the Pubbie’s hopes of large scale Jewish Dim defections due to the Dim/Obama Israeli policy.
This will be a big morale booster for the Dims leading into the Amnesty fight.
In 2008, Wexler won with 66.2% of the total vote. A 62% margin in a rotten borough district like this is a 4% come down for the dems. If I were them I wouldn’t be cheering too loud.

I have Florida relatives who probably voted for him.
Seemed to be one that was never taken as a serious possibility by the Pubbies. Absolutely no publicity, push by the party or usual conservative media/new media sources. Had to look very hard to find any info about this race. Even though I’m here in Fla, (central), I heard more about races in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, California, Pa., Hawaii, etc.
Learned tonight that it was only a 7 month seat and new election will be held with all the others in Nov. Plus, locals participating in other FR threads indicated that Pub candidate was not the most inspiring nor the most squeaky clean.
Guess we’re all looking at the specials coming up in Pa and Hawaii.
