In Missouri, that issue was amplified by the fact that the Mormons were anti-slavery, and the surrounding areas were pro-slavery.

Ah the mormons OWNED slaves in Utah...

They took them there themselves...

One slave, named Green Flakes, drove Briggy Young’s carriage...

One couple had slaves and when the man died his wife “gave” one of her slaves to the tithing yard...

Briggy Young accepted the slave as a tithe too...

AND DID NOT FREE HIM..

The mormons have been racist bigots from the first...

They have religious scriptures agains the black race...

In 180 years no black man has ever been in leadership in the mormon corporation..

As usual, what you have said is untrue. Green Flake was freed. He became a farmer and a miner and was an active member of the Mormon church until he died at the age of 75. And, there are black men in leadership positions, and have been since the 1970’s.

My black daughter in law would argue with your statement about bigotry.
