Twenty-four percent (24%) of U.S. voters now say they consider themselves a part of the Tea Party movement, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Thats an eight-point increase from 16% a month ago.
Another 10% say they are not a part of the movement but have close friends or family members who are.
Fifty-five percent (55%) of voters say they have no ties to the Tea Party movement. Eleven percent (11%) more are not sure.
The rise in Tea party support is perhaps not surprising at a time when more voters than ever (58%) favor repeal of the national health care plan just passed by Democrats in Congress and signed into law by President Obama. Most voters remain convinced that the health care plan will require an increase in taxes on the middle class as a time when 66% of voters believe America is already overtaxed.

I’ll make it easier on them: I’m “One of Them”, and am very proud to be among their ranks. Intimidation will not work well with me, so they can try if they like.

Remember the big battle scene in "The Patriot", when the advance troops turned and retreated...the Brits followed them over the hill and - wallah - there were hundreds of more troops waiting for them.
Those of us who can't make it to DC, because of work or financial reasos - are the "reserve" TEA party movement waiting just over the hill to be there when needed.
Like the proverbial iceberg, the biggest part of the TEA party movement is underneath where it can't be seen. But we are there, in little towns, cities and the countryside all across the fruited plain.
When the leftists and race-baiters start insulting the TEA partiers who are in DC, they need to realize they are insulting vastly more people that those.
And, by attacking the marching TEA partiers with accusations of violence that doesn't exist and racism that doesn't exist, they are greatly helping the "recruiting" process in getting more people into the TEA party movement.
Even those who are not conservative know that people have a right to assemble and redress their grievances with the Government, and when they see that right trampled on by the obama regime, it fires them up too.
The liberals never learned the lesson -"What you resist, persists" - and they never will. In fact, liberals have moved out of the plain ol' vanilla liberalism, and have moved into facism.
So libs, do what you will...but we're coming for you, and we have our reserves just over the hill, ready to back us up if needed...so don't get too cocky, OK?

... and, in the meantine: the genius brain trust over at DUmmieLand is loudly advocating that any current member of the U.S. military be "dishonorably discharged" for holding Tea Party membership.LOL - I never got my membership card, dangit.

I almost asked “where’s the media” when it comes to the crap spewing out of DU. The I came to my senses and recalled the media are members of DU.

Libs can’t help themselves.
They can’t STAND the idea of resistance to their “superior intellect”.

Tea Party “membership”?
They just don’t get it.
It absolutely BAFFLES them that this movement isn’t centrally directed by some “elite” person or persons.

Yep the crashtheteaparty folks waitied about a year too long to do anything about this. It is too late to stop it now. Beautiful isn’t it!

It is just really too bad for them that only fellow liberals think they have superior intellegence! ;) I’d always said that if they really felt that they were really that way they wouldn’t have to tell each other that all of the time!

You know, though, SOME elitists truly are “elite”, or have higher than average intellect...
However, their problem comes from thinking that they have enough information to make decisions for others,
and worse, that they have the right and duty to do so.

A couple of things to note here:
1) Those identifying increased 50% in just a month. Expect increase to continue, even though 50% a month probably isn’t sustainable over the long run.
2) 42% of Republicans identify, versus 9% of Democrats and 25% of Independents. Hate to tell all the GOP haters out there, but the Tea Parties are a conservative REPUBLICAN movement, by and large. Just like I and others have been saying all along.
