No single mortal will be able to match Meg-a-millions Whitman's cash outflow in the in the California guv race, but another unions-and-pals independent expenditure group is gearing up to take her on in the general election.
For starters, each of the three unions at the forefront of Working Families 2010 is kicking in $1 million each, Bob Balgenorth, president of the State Building and Construction Trades Council of California (SBCTC), told us. "It will probably go more than that," he said. Plus there's another $1 million -- and more to come if needed, we hear -- from supermarket magnate and Dem superdonor Ron Burkle.

Wonder if this is a front for the marxist “Working Families Party”, led by ex. Rep. Dave Bonior (D-Mich), a veteran marxist.
Gee, This is like a fight between Satan himself and.....well, Satan.
California is in trouble. It’s going to be Detroit on a grand scale.
Whenever you hear the term “workin’man” or “worker’s party”, you can bet they are communist thugs. With unlimited funds extracted from “workin’men” to support leftist causes.
“Going to Be” I’ve got news for you we arrived!
So that’s where he turned up after the Edwards’ failed campaign where he was a manager.
Sidenote: Bonior was carved out of a job after the last census and we’re going to get another rat after this one here in MI.
I think this is the real reason Bart Stupid quit, he knew his district was going to get the axe.
While the phonies are slinging their money at each other; why don’t the real voters of CA vote someone in who will better the state; instead of sitting there buying this bs.
Like who ? Naritelli ?
Hi: Saw this in a Whitman search. Do you really think the UP will lose their Rep? What do you think the district would look like? I have a student up there, so I follow that area’s politics fairly closely....
Hard to say, doubt that the UP would end up any different - but it is the northern half of lower MI where the bulk of the population is that could be tinkered with in redistricting.
But now that Stupak has quit it might change the dynamic.
