Does anybody know the details of the assault? And why is this only being reported now?

Dunno. The article at http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/90708319.html has a little more detail. Any Freepers at the event?

This really is very strange. The news media in NOLA waited two or three days to report it, and they refuse to give any details as to what happened. And the authorities refuse to give any description of the perps.

It’s very hard not to leap to a few conclusions. And, no, this clearly wasn’t done by the Amish.

Isn’t this the same rally that Hannity was at? FOX didn’t report it? What’s up?

If the police cannot deal with this crap (as in Philadelphia), at some point, we’ll have to bring our (legal) weapons to these events...and believe me we have a lot more than they do - and we practice.

Didn’t Jindal recently warn RNC staff to stay out of the French Quarter? I guess his staff should have taken his advice.

Judging from the comments, many of the denizens of New Orleans think it’s real funny that a Republican woman and her boyfriend got beaten up. Someone suggested I meet them in New Orleans for a vacation, and now I’m not going.

And the taxpayers have spent enough billions on this hellhole. Let the New Orleans people rebuild it themselves.

Just heard on a blurb from a New Orleans TV station that there have been a dozen people shot in the last 3 days. A good place to stay away from.

I'm more than a little curious about this.

Happened Friday and this is the first we are hearing about this?

Described as an "altercation" - not a mugging?

ummmmmmmmmm?

I haven’t spent another dollar in New Orleans since I saw first hand how most of them acted in Houston after Katrina. Most are still here.

BROKEN LEG?!BROKEN JAW AND NOSE???? AND THIS IS INJURED??? REQUIRING SURGERY???

W
T
F?????

Thats it, I live too damned close to Portland Oregon. Gonna START with a 4-10 shotgun and work my way up from there. NO ONE IS SAFE. This is AMERICA for god’s sake!? Heaven above. Ayn Rand was a Prophet. The veneer of legality and the assumptions of a civil society are gone. Once the masses like those satanic bastards in N.O. get it that they can do this to anyone for any reason, oh and keep that gubermint check commin (for my generational welfare and of course I vote democrat) we are DONE FOR. Mexican gangs will come up from the south and America will have died as liberal thugs piss on everything and welcome them north.

I am getting a gun and I am going to start doing police ride alongs and getting to know the local law enforcment. I (and all of us!!!) need to find SOLID people that I know will have my six, just as I have theirs.

OMG how far we have fallen in just 2 years.
