God Bless the bold and daring “troublemakers” who face down the wrath of authority in order to “do what needs to be done.” This is is the stuff that true Americans are made of.

He’ll be buried with full military honors. I hope that means there is a real person playing taps and not just a tape recording.

Hard to believe that angelic face could have hidden an unorthodox soldier, but I’ve heard tell the Arch Angel Michael has a face to melt a mother’s heart and he can seriously kick butt, as well. ;-)

In December my father (LCol, USAF ret) was laid to rest at Arlington. Amazing ceremony, live taps, horse drawn caisson. It was a very special moment.
Every veteran of that era should receive that honor.

Hell be buried with full military honors. I hope that means there is a real person playing taps and not just a tape recording. My dad passed two years ago and had live taps at the graveside ceremony. The VFW was very helpful coordinating with the Navy and arranging for the honor graveside ceremony.

The local VFW post showed up at my uncle’s funeral a few years ago with live Taps, a rifle salute, and a flag presentation. And my uncle served in the Coast Guard on the Great Lakes. I was blown away!

That’s great. I’m very grateful for the coordination efforts of the VFW.
