U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, whose stunning victory in January was fueled in part by Tea Party anger, has snubbed the fiery grassroots group and declined its invitation to join Sarah Palin Wednesday at a massive rally on Boston Common, the Herald has learned.
Browns decision to skip the first big rally in Boston by the group whose members are credited with helping him win election has some experts saying hes tossed the Tea Party overboard, as he prepares for re-election in 2012.

At this time, we should be pleased with small gains as well as large ones.
I knew it before he took office. The Tea Party should put up another candidate to run against him.
Brown was elected by fiscally conservative but socially liberal female independents.
The Cosmo spread had a lot to do with it.
Deal with it.
Brown can do what he wants. He just needs to be accountable to his voters.
His election advanced the overall conservative cause. I would not support someone with his views in my area.
He campaigned on conservative principals, and won in his area.
“The Tea Party should put up another candidate to run against him.”
In MA??
Yes. In MA.
Highly doubtful one would win in MA ...
The effect would be to put a Coakley/ Kennedy type back in that seat.
Then I fear that you’d be giving the seat back to the Dems. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dems are hoping for that. Sarah, I fear isn’t that popular in New England, or so I’ve heared. It’s probaly personal prejudices-New Englanders are East Coasters, and Sarah is un East Coast.
So far her political instincts are absolutely amazing. I bet she knows what she’s doing. Every time people start second guessing her shoulda, coulda, woulda they end up being wrong and she ends up looking damn smart.

He wasn’t really with the tea party even during his election.
This was a two fer using Dem activists Larry Sabato and Lou DiNatale to help spin a narrative against both Palin (she who must be destroyed at all costs) and Brown.
Brown was in Afghanistan meeting with Karzai on the 9th. They may still be in the region or just have returned. I’d say he’s busy and the article was puffery designed to divide.

Personally,
and I like you and reading your posts Jim. I usually agree with you.
But this makes Scott Brown look like a coward.
Sarah didn’t endorse Brown because she knew it would hurt him.
Is she a coward, too?
What is "far right winged" and what isn't common sense about the Tea Parties and Sarah Palin?
Scott Brown needs to come out from his hidey-hole and communicate the common sense ideas that the Tea Parties represents.
Brown - Massachusetts
What is really expected?
‘nuff said
Actually my guess is his fear of ticking of ROmney is stronger than anything, and we all know how Romney feels about Palin.
Hmmm...What pct of his votes were from demoncrats and what pct from grass roots GOP?
Not sure that the "fine line" has the slightest possibility of getting him reelected. IAC, it has been fairly obvious since about the 2nd or 3rd week of his tenure that he was a leftist RINO at best...or a skilfully placed sleeper-cell demoncrat infiltrator at worst.
“He will be running as a republican from Ma. not Utah.
Scott Brown is about winning the war not the battle.”
True statements. However, you don’t ditch the very persons that got you where you are. Without the tea party folks, he wouldn’t have been elected. Seems rather disloyal to me.
Also, I’m afraid he is not a true (full spectrum) conservative.....and he has shown it.
