It’s a sad commentary on our politics that he can’t show civility to a leader of a movement that routinely calls people like you and me teabagging racists.

“She is nice – how many of you all have met her? She’s a nice person,” Coburn said. “Just because somebody disagrees with you don’t mean they’re not a good person.”
Inhofe had a slightly different take.
“She is a powerful person,” he said. “People wonder how she can keep getting reelected — just go out to her district.”
The boss emeritus calls her an embarrassment to women, but that’s because MM doesn’t appreciate respect for one’s opponents the way the people who call her a “coconut” race traitor do.
I have no Pelosi video to offer you, alas, so here’s one of Barney Frank from Leno last night blaming Newt Gingrich for having introduced hate to politics or something. It was pretty hateful of the GOP to take back the House after 40 years, I’ll grant him that. Oh, and here’s another video from the same show of Frank saying, no thanks, he’d rather not dine with Karl Rove because he doesn’t like him. Civility-mania!
Most of us conservatives in CA are relatively powerless, except we can contribute to conservatives outside CA.
It looks like our choice for Govenator will be either Moonbeam or Megan. Neither will solve the states problems..both will make it worse. Brown will make it worse faster..so may be the best choice. The sooner the state runs our of credit rating and money, the sooner we have a chance of solving the problems.
It's called "Good Cop, Bad Cop". Inhofe and Coburn are still both Cops.....in the most conservative state in America.

It always irritates me that a good person can do absolutely nothing wrong or they lose their "good person" status. Bad people (and, yes, Nancy Pelosi is a very bad, corrupt person) can be showboats of kindness in public and they are afforded leniency.
Your efforts? YOUR EFFORTS? Compared with Tom Coburn’s ‘efforts’ on behalf of the Republic, you’re not much more than a layabout.
You calling him a RINO is an uninformed act of ignorance. You think it isn’t? Then, google ‘most conservative senators’ and tell us what his ranking has been the last three or four years.
Then tell us, how many Democrat spending bills has he put an official hold on in the past 3 or 4 years?

While you’re at it, please explain what harm did Sen. Coburn do to the Republic and the Constitution by calling Pelosi a nice person? Did it allow the Dims to pass any legislation? Did it increase the number of Dims in either House? What actual harm did it do?

I have to disagree OW, the man can't really walk on Capitol Hill and call nancy a bitch and expect to get much politics done. That is why Inhofe called her a bitch......;)

The problem with this whole thing is...........why should anyone care if she is ‘nice’ or not. Her policies suck and are harming America. Whether she is nice or not should not even be part of the conversation.

Coburn backed off on Obama at a crucial time during the Dem primary, after BO compared Coburn’s notion that abortionists might be subject to capital punishment ( presumably after legislation establishing the penalty and due process through the courts) to Bill Ayers’ bombing the Pentagon. He valued his “friendship” with BO too much to force the issue to Obama’s manner of thought and philosophy, allowing the cheap media spin that “He was a guy in the neighborhood who did bad things when I was 8 years old.” All too reminiscent of Jack Kemp’s “graciousness” in allowing Gore to tar Republicans as racist , while absolving Kemp as “one of the few” that wasn’t. “ Gee thanks, Al.”
I agree, but then it depends on how you define a "Nice" or "good" person. he interaction I described was purely on a surface or superficial level, knowing the way she conducts the business of government as I now do, I would never use the terms nice or good to describe her professional conduct.
Wait...I thought Nancy’s real name was “CruElla DeVil.”...?
