She doesn’t have to work with Crist - but she will have to work with whoever wins the Senate seat.

smart politics!

Michele Bachmann is quite a lady.

Or as my grandmother endearingly would have said: “a good ol’ gal.”

Rep. Michele Bachmann, a favorite of the tea party movement, appears to be doing her best to avoid picking sides in one of the Republican Party’s most closely watched Senate primaries.

While not as bad as that other woman who claims to be independent of the GOP and puts principles ahead of political favors, this shows that this woman too will be responsible for Juan McAmnesty getting re-elected. It's sad that those that offer so much promise end up failing like a bad lotto ticket.

“they are honorable men”

Mark Antony:
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him;
The evil that men do lives after them,
The good is oft interred with their bones,
So let it be with Caesar ... The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answered it ...
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest,
(For Brutus is an honourable man;
So are they all; all honourable men)
Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral ...
He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
But Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man….
He hath brought many captives home to Rome,
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
You all did see that on the Lupercal
I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition?
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then to mourn for him?
O judgement! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason…. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me.

Not a tough call perhaps, but elected reps. like Michele should be guarded about who they back sometimes,, or just stay out of the race altogether and let the actual state resident voters make up their own minds.

The RNC still calling the leveraged shots? Of course! How could either Palin or Bachmann, self professed conservatives, not back J.D. Hayworth to the hilt?

She is wise to do this. McCain’s wife has lots of money, and will spend a lot to keep him in Washington. And for his part, he has a mean temper, and will go out of his way to stick it to someone who has crossed him.

Lots of people are rooting for J.D., but doing so quietly, out of fear of what will happen if McCain is reelected. Once he is out of office, there is going to be a huge, collective sigh of relief.

Maybe then they will remember, and help J.D. out.

She’s smart. She caught hell from the MSM, remember, for criticizing Zero and Sasquatch for their “anti-American views” and for the “re-education camps” rhetoric.
The press doesn’t want `truth to power’ speech (whatever that means, but I think it applies) unless they or their idols are the ones doing the speaking.
She knows McCain has the MSM in his pocket as a “moderate Republican” (or, egg-sucking demo-wannabe) so she’s laying back in the tall grass and they can’t attack her.

Does she have no convictions or no courage of her convictions?

IMO Bachmann was somewhat blocked by Palin. If she backs Hayworth it casts a shadow on her. McCain’s strategy pays off big time, two birds with one stone. Hawworth 0.5, McCain 1.5.

She did the right thing. Endorsements don’t count that much and only play into the RATS hands.Let the primary play out and then the Pubbie candidate won’t have to worry about what Bachman said at this stage. She very well could be a VP candidate as she is very impressive.

Bachmann is one of the best! I hope she can stay above the fray and remain viable as a potential national candidate in the future.
