"We were concerned about the biological weapons," Gates said, "and that's why the president was very clear ... if we see states developing biological weapons that we begin to think endanger us or create serious concerns, that he reserves the right to revise this policy." BULL CRAP.
To: kristinn
In Other Words, the new policy is simply a PR sham? Rank amateurs!
Some interviewer should ask them "well, if all bets are off, you are back to the prior policy ... what is the point Obama is trying to make by deliberately inserting ambiguity into a statement of deterrence? Does he not understand the meaning of the word? Is he mad?"

All they worry about it is that this is their last chance and they had better not miss it.
Yep.

The Ditherer-in-Chief is being forced by public outrage to back off his free shot for a chemical or biological weapons attack on the U.S. I'll have to disagree with that statement, Gates and the *Witch* are just trying to spin.
Obummer's treasonous policy is still the same.

To: plain talk
What? First they say he won't use nukes in response to a bio attack. Then they say Obama may change his mind (kind of like how Allah changed his mind throughout the Korah) and then Clinton states what is essentially the policy we had prior to Obama which is if we are attacked with bio weapons all bets are off. These people make no sense. You know what? After seeing your post and thinking about the statements, what Obama is setting up is a full quantum worse! Let's follow through the scenario Rodham lays out:
We are on record as responding conventionally. Rogue state emboldened by the apparent weakness starts a chemical / biological program. The world learns of this. So Obama makes the proclamation that nuclear is back on the table. "Now he's threatening to nuke us," the rogue state wails and in that Star Wars Bar Scene known as the UN, it makes the US the bad guy, with resolutions and such aimed at the US. At best we'd have the Cuban Missile Crisis II where we'd have to match the rogue state's back down with one of our own.

Hillary Clinton is supremely stupid. A stupid traitorous cow. No better than 0bama. She’s the rampant ego who has a lot in common with McCain except he has earned his senility while Hillary’s is premature. Heightened by her thyroid problems

She’s always said it that way, as did Bush, and LBJ I think.

“suffer a devastating conventional retaliation.”
The above translated means, ‘More dead American soldiers’.
This is why the policy of ambiguity was so successful. No rogue state, or the Soviets dared to mess with the US for fear of the unknown.
With one short statement, that ambiguity has been removed. We will now be tested. Any question who the amateur in the mix is?

Gates is now, and has been from the start of his career, the perfectly supine bureaucrat. He has never once taken a stance that would endanger his career. He has never once been a policy innovator. In seeking a toady, Obama chose wisely.

You must be mistaken. It is documented in the media that Mitt Romney is driving the agenda.
