He was facing a disciplinary investigation after suggesting to the black colleague that he ‘better hide’ when they noticed immigration officers outside their clinic. It is understood that the man was a close friend of Mr Amor and was not offended. However, it was overheard by someone else who lodged a formal complaint.
(edit) The black man, who is believed to have attended Mr Amor’s funeral and had known him for many years, is said to be ‘shattered’. His distraught family believe that what he intended as a light-hearted remark became overblown. Mr Amor, a classic car enthusiast, was married to his wife Ann, a former nurse, for 39 years. The couple have a grown-up son and daughter.

I must say however, that killing oneself is a sure fire way of losing your job. I have zero sympathy for self killers.
Depends on your state and where you work.
Shotgun licenses are relatively easy to get hold of if you don’t have a criminal record or a clinical history of mental illness. Rifles are a bit harder, and require you to jump through many hoops to justify you needing one (being a member of a gun club, or a hunter, or a sportsman etc...) and each rifle needs a seperate liscense, whereas a shotgun license allows you to buy as many shotguns as you want.... Handguns and automatic weapons are completely banned though....
