So far today, the SRLC has featured at least two barnburner speeches. Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) delivered one of the most enthusiastically-received speeches today, and our friend The Right Scoop captured it all. Pence sounded a clarion call to fight the radical Democratic agenda and challenged the party not to shrink from the challenge. The mood here at the SLRC is almost entirely focused on 2010, not 2012, which given the analyses of it earlier in the week, is a bit surprising. But Pence does nothing here to harm his chances if he decides to make a run for higher office:

Thank you for posting this...I was just looking for it.
I especially liked the way he closed the speech.
He’s a visionary and a leader, i.e., inspiring.
Spence and Cain were both great. The Republicans need more people like this who can really articulate the conservative principles.
Spine, guts, gonads is an infusion desperately needed in Conservatives; long past due. Without these three traits, we’re TOAST and freedom is lost.
Pence, Demint, Palin, Bachmann, Hunter. We’ve got some good folks out there.
Excellent stuff!
So true.
I think that of the choices we’ve seen so far, he’s the best.
Thanks, I’m watching it now. He’s generally been great, and kudos to him for his terrific voting record. Only thing I’m not so sold on is his proposed 20% of GDP amendment to the Constitution.
I’ve zeroed in on Pence. He’s got it all. Best of all, I saw him on 700Club, he is a true believer and follower of Christ.
Seems the GOP Ladies have more spine, guts, gonads etc than the men these days.
NO RINOS!
It is difficult for someone with credentials that include only the House of Representatives to make it to the White House but it was done by a fellow named Abraham Lincoln.
Judged against the field, Pence obviously has the forensic skills, the bearing, and the elusive but all-important gravitas to be considered for the top job. His conservative pedigree is impeccable.
By default he is at the top of my list: Palin is likely not to run and has not done what is necessary to increase her gravitas to neutralize the main beef against her; Romney is unsatisfactory to many conservatives because of his pedigree; Huckabee has put to many pounds back on and is probably content at Fox but, importantly, he is scattershot; Gingrich has the intellectual candlepower that probably exceeds Pence and he has superior forensic talents but there is no one more likely to split the party, in my opinion much to its loss;
By default then, I am looking hard at Pence
