Liberals believe that what they say is the Truth because they say it. And if they say something contradictory the next day they believe that, too, because Truth can change. Truth is a mental construct and can be altered at will to suit the goals of the Liberal speaker. This is part of the philosophy they learn in the Ivy League.
This thread is full of excellent observations.
The belief that reality is a mental construct has always posed a puzzle to me which I have discussed with my o-o-o-ld friend, a UF professor and extreme intellectual Liberal, If reality is all in the mind of the thinker then is imperfection in relationships not a failure in the mind of the Liberal? Why must he act as if reality were reality and try to force everyone else to think the way he does? Why does he not merely construct his own reality in his head and go live there in his own Utopia? The prof just looks puzzled for a moment and then tells me I cannot understand because I have not sufficient education.
This is part of the philosophy they learn in the Ivy League.
So true, A corollary observation is that Sarah Palin is NOT ivy league. Drives the east coast libs right round the bend. She has them by the short hairs IMHO.
The ivy league hegemony on politics is coming to an end.
