My wife and I were treated to a beautiful display of northern lights in the Pocatello, ID area after an X class eruption. Shimmering green "curtains" and very direct green rays (like sunlight through a hole in the clouds).
It has been awhile since I've seen any northern lights, with the sun in very low output of solar flares. It would be great to see some soon.
