In this March 15, 2010 file photo Polish President Lech Kaczynski and wife Maria is seen in front of the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. Officials say the plane carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife has crashed while landing near the western city of Smolensk, Russia and that at least 87 people have been killed Saturday April 10, 2010. Kaczynski went to Russia for the 70th anniversary of the 1940 Katyn forest massacre, where Soviet troops killed thousands of Poles."
What a tragic, untimely loss for the Republic of Poland. Their head of state, His Excellency Lech Kaczynski, President of the Republic of Poland, was killed in a plane crash in the Smolensk region on a fourth final approach in poor weather.
This was the presidential plane that was involved in the fatal accident.
So much for the company policy that top executives must take seperate fligths to the same desitnation.
Things like this just don’t happen. I smell foul play. Don’t leave the investigation to the Russians.
My eyes may deceive me, but please tell me that isn’t some antiquated Boeing 727?
I agree......Moogly the man cub is here somewhere....
And an earlier post says Putin is personally monitoring the investigation.. riiight,,, nothing fishy here eh?
Pray for these victims and their families and the courageous Polish nation, may the Good Lord bless them all
On the FOURTH try in bad weather? Low on fuel....a little desperate....get a little low early while trying to find the runway...others have been in the same situation and crashed also. Snow and fog make a poor visual horizon.
I pray for their souls. A tragic loss for Poland.
How sad...........
Check out the 9th post. It’s a Tu-154, a Soviet equivalent of the 727.
Thanks.
Based on Polishh/Soviet history, I'd bet dollars to donuts to Soviets had a hand in this.
One of the few sensible things that John McCain has said is that when he looks into Putin’s eyes he sees three things: K, G, and B.
The Polish President was a courageous conservative who was imprisoned under the Communists, deeply religious and a good man in every sense. He never compromised his values. As Mayor of Warsaw he put a stop to “Gay Pride” parades. He leaves behind a daughter, a twin brother, and a lot of people who respect and admire him.
Poland is fortunate in that he is succeeded by the head of Parliament, Bronislaw Komorowski, different party but also a committed conservative who also was imprisoned under the Communists. Komorowski had already been endorsed for President in the next election by Lech Walesa.
The loss of a nationalist patriot has broken the hearts of Poles.
When the likes of Putin issues a statement, reverse for the truth.
Do you think that the p o s who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave will send someone from the administration over to represent him at the funeral? We know he won’t go
Think somehting 'foul' as well. Putin has said he will personally oversee invetigation.
Maybe Obama will send Biden over, to look over his shoulder.
It’s a Russian copy.
Another good America ally now off the world stage. Prayers for the families and the nation of Poland.
