What is really sad about this decision is most of the public isn’t even aware of it, and when I told my work partner, he didn’t really believe it and then dismissed it out of hand - very typical public reaction.

Those two nations avoided nuclear war ONLY because Bush the Younger intervened. That President is the one who should get a Nobel "peace" prize -- he earned it.
