The Washington, DC, April 15, 2010 Tea Party Schedule per Freedom Works, co-sponsor with the Tea Party movement, is below.
Link to Freedom Works' actual April 15 agenda is HERE. And their Home page.
9am - 12pm: Liberty Summit at the Ronald Reagan Building and the agenda and map is HERE. Freedom Works would like you to sign up for this event. I suppose there is limited space.
1pm: Freedom Works is encouraging people to lobby their legislators, it appears the topic is your choice.
5:45pm: Pre-show for Rally. See below paragraph for rally info.
7pm - 9:30pm: Rally at NE quadrant of Washington Monument grounds on the south side of Constitution Avenue. Map Here. Freedom Works says "we are planning to have an evening event with speakers, music and lots of rowdy protesters". They have a list of speakers under their Event Schedule and Information tag at their above link.
The DC Chapter of FReeRepublic at this time is not planning anything special. If you want to meet up with other FReepers, [Mrs] T, myself and several others will be attending the evening Rally. We'll be standing as close as possible to the Jefferson Pier Marker just south of Constitution Avenue as shown on the map link. I should have my tall U.S./Gadsden flag. I'm not sure where we'll be once the program actually starts - just depends on the loud speakers (which are usually inadequate) and the stage location.
My guess is that Freedom Works' stage will be close to the Washington Monument so the W.M. can be a back drop for photo ops.
Weather is showing sunny and mid-70s, but could get chilly when the sun starts to set around 8pm.
Be sure to bring your cameras since the "progressives" intend to disrupt the April 15 events where ever they are held. At DC, Freedom Works has permitted the area so have the police remove anyone who is disrupting the event.
Hope to see some of you there.
Message received. See you there.
We will be there around 5 or so. 2 busses from Chattanooga. I’ll behave.
Good luck to everyone today in DC.
Hooray!! See you then.
[Mr] T
