After a week of anticipation, suspected Fort Hood gunman, Army Maj. Nidal M. Hasan is officially a resident of the Bell County Jail.
Defense attorney John Galligan told News 10 that Hasan arrived at the Bell County Jail around 4 a.m. Friday.
"His unit, the 21st Combat Aviation Brigade, provided the air assets to move Hasan to his pretrial confinement facility," Fort Hood officials said in a press release Friday morning.
Galligan says Hasan's brother saw him in San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and was given no notice that Hasan was going to be moved.
Galligan did not know Hasan had been moved until Friday morning.
The Bell County Sheriff's Office has scheduled an afternoon press conference Friday release more details on Hasan's overnight transfer.
Hasan faces thirteen counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder in connection to the Nov. 5 shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
Officials early Friday morning listed Hasan on the the Bell County Jail log.
According to the log, Hasan was booked into the jail on Offense Unknown charges through Fort Hood.

I have heard next to nothing about his injuries or resulting long term effects of them.
.
Offense Unknown?
I don’t think they are obligated to tell the family if or when or where he’s being moved around. Why does the article infer that there was something wrong about the brother not being notified?
Firing Squad!!!
.
First he needs to be asked a lot of questions.
Okay, so, lots of non-lethal extremity hits while he provides the info.
Apparently he’s paralyzed from the chest down.
Too bad he can’t get his 72 virgins now.
Secondly, he needs to spend a lot time being some Bubba's girlfriend.
Too honorable. He doesn't deserve it. The rope for him.
Or fire ants. Not a problem finding those in Central Texas.
However here is the Army Procedures for Military Executions, no fire ants or rope listed, just lethal injection.
Not nearly what he deserves, but it will do.
Is Bell County getting stuck with medical expenses?
Fort Hood has contracted with the jail to cover the costs of Hasans containment
Dude’s a terrorist. Let me correct that. He’s an Islamic terrorist.
Okay, I can see the logic here. I really like the fire ants idea.
BTW, here is the 1944 procedure 27-4, which did provide for hanging. Both hanging and fireing squad methods are described in esquisite detail. Right down to how far the sergeant of the execution detail should hold his pistol, and where he should aim, should a final coup de grace
From the section on execution by hanging:
b. Upon the pronouncement of the death of the prisoner, the escort, with the band playing a lively air, will return to the parade ground and be dismissed.
h. The witnessing troops will parade in column ' in front of the body and proceed to their respective parade grounds where they will be dismissed.
The old ways were better.
President Eisenhower was the last president to approve a military execution. President John F. Kennedy was the last president to face the question, in 1962, but commuted the sentence to life in prison.
